Mackenson and Esther found each other unexpectedly in 2021 whilst attending a wedding that they both individually decided to attend at the very last second.

They were drawn to each other at first sight and ended up having a 2 minute conversation at the wedding that unbeknownst to them would end up being the beginning to a love story they never saw coming.

They bonded over common interests and shared values and their initial long distance relationship evolved through time and effort.

Having met in peak Covid, dating in the beginning was incredibly difficult but both Mackenson and Esther put in the effort to visit each other, plan spontaneous dates and show their dedication and commitment to each other despite the distance and cultural differences.

It didn’t take long for the girl who was not looking for love at the time and the boy who believed he would never get married fell in love. Both were extremely intentional about opening their hearts to each other and being in a serious, committed relationship that eventually would lead to marriage and starting a family. They also had the full support of their respective families and friends that openly and happily accepted both their relationship and their different cultures. 

In October of 2024, on her 30th birthday, Mackenson proposed and honored the promise he made to his now-fiancée. They cannot wait to celebrate this new chapter of their lives with the people they cherish the most!
